Chances are you or someone you know has uterine fibroids. Approximately 8 in 10 Black women experience the condition during their lifetime. It is Critical that we share accurate information about them and Dr. Charis Chambers provides an excellent overview in our new video you can watch here.

Real Talk About Compassionate Care for Black Women with FIbroids

>Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in the uterus. They are common among women of reproductive age, and Black women are at a higher risk of developing them. According to the National Institutes of Health, about 80% of Black women will develop uterine fibroids by the age of 50. Understanding this condition is crucial for Black women's reproductive health. We wanted to create an organic conversation around this topic and brought together stakeholders from the public and private sector to have some real talk about Black women with Uterine Fibroids. It was a powerful day filled with candid conversations with patient stories, breaking down myths, information on research and policy developments.
